STRANGE DAYS IN INDIA

Hello again this is trooper #2 here in India .Since the last time I wrote on the blog I’ve seen quite strange things: Today when my family and I were walking to somebody’s house and we saw a cow with snot dripping from each nostril-gross! We also saw a goat standing on a gate next to a ripped up building-how the heck did it get up there? Donkeys don’t fly! Today my family and I went to a huge store (it was called Big Bazaar) that had everything (even choco pies but that’s another story that I will tell you about later)
So at this store they had alot of Indian food (some of it didn’t look so welcoming). Luckily for me they had pasta so I’m not always eating Indian food!
Three days ago my parents started home-schooling me and trooper #1 (Sloan) The good thing about school is you get to lie down and eat potato chips, the bad thing is just about everything else.Well that’s all for this week from trooper #2.
Peace out,
Hailey

Hi, it’s Sloan! The past few days we have been doing a lot more then what we were doing the previous time I wrote. We went to Baroda’s version of Central Park. I played baseball with another kid. He said it was his first time playing baseball but, that was hard to believe that because he was good! We also went to Hitesh’s house. He has two kids, he was also the guy that drove us back from the airport and he has been nothing but nice to us. We had a very nice time there. We had dinner and played with fireworks. Not to mention blowing some stuff up while at it! Today we went to BIG BAZAAR! I was happy going there because I got a basketball. We can now go to the basketball courts Moon told us about. Speaking of Moon, five minutes after meeting her dad when we were walking out of our apartment he told us (he calls me Harry Potter which I hate) to come up to meet his wife and daughter. His daughter turned out to be the one and only engaged Moon! After three minutes we became such good friends they invited us to Moon’s wedding. She is getting married to a man named J.T. and the wedding starts at eleven o’clock at night (I’m usually wiped out sleeping by then!) I want to go to see what it’s like but, what Hailey said I’ll be nocturnal again. I also saw a goat standing on a fence. Man it had good balance! The goat is my friend because when I took a picture of it looked at me! Man, I love that goat!

Hey Sloan & Hailey. It sounds like you had such a great day. I can't believe you already got invited to a wedding. How exciting. Did you go? I'm jealous that you get to lay around at school and eat potato chips. I wish I had your mom & dad as teachers when I was your age. That's so cool that moon told you where there's a basketball court. I never imagined you would be able to find one. Now you'll be able to teach all the kids both baseball and basketball. Please keep you posts coming. There's really fun to read! Love & kisses, Aunt Linny

Does everyone speak English? Are the people nice? It sounds like there are animals everywhere! What have ya'll been eating? How is the apartment?

Hi guys!
It's Aunt Sandy, cousins Sophie and Sam. We just read your blog, how much fun are you having! It's 6:30 am in NY and we all wide awake, Aunt Sandy has changed 4 diapers already and we are all watching Max and Ruby! It's another great day in NY, rainy, cold and foggy! Sophie doesn't have school today, it's parent teacher conferences. Uncle Andy and I went to meet Sophie's teachers last night though. They said she is doing great except she need help with "clean up time". Imagine that! You guys love to clean up, don't you? Maybe you can teach Sophie how to clean up her toys when you come home? What kid doesn't know how to do that! Hah Hah. Sam is doing great too - running now. Grandma Annie was over last night and he said Grandma - either that or he burped. Not sure! Grandma Annie showed us the pictures from her camera - we were so happy to see our cousins. Talk soon!
Love, Aunt Sandy, Sophie and Sammy

Sloan, Hailey, Lance and Michelle, What a fantastic adventure you have started on. Definitely go to the wedding as I hear they are the best celebrations ever! I look forward to hearing all about your journeys and experiences. What out for the cows, Jim tells me they own the roads! I(we) look forward to reading more about your travels. Hello Sloan & Hailey.
Well it sure sounds like the two of you have already found some of your favorite things (Sloan-basketball and someone to play baseball with, Hailey-pasta and food that is not Indian). And how thrilling that you were invited to a wedding. That is going to be fantastic. We never went to one, but we watched a couple of the processions as they past by our apartment - they were amazing. Please take lots of pictures. So glad to read all your updates. And please keep sending pictures of your new friends. Huge hugs, Amy
